The Power of Praying the Word of God
Romans 1:17 (AMP)
17 For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.
Your whole life is sustained by your faith in God. Wow, isn't that an eye opening statement? That means our success in living depends on our prayer and faith life. We are going to talk more about the armor of God and applying the force of this armor to our prayer life daily. Many are running around daily, thinking they don't have time to pray when there is a thief lurking about. Satan's strategies are to steal, kill and destroy. If he is able to steal your life, he has STOLEN YOUR TIME!
We must wake up and use the powerful weapons that God has given us. Our daily prayer time can save our lives and our families. God has well equipped us, but we must not be distracted by other things. More to come.
God Bless you,
Ephesians 6:10-18 (AMP)
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
11 Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
13 Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,
15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).
Let's continue talking about the powerful armor God has provide for us to live victoriously. He said to tighten the belt of truth around our loins or our waist. Our waist or our core contains the strength to stabilize us in whatever we are doing physically. I work out daily and as long as I hold my stomach and waist line tight, I can stabilize myself to do strenuous weight training and cardio sessions.
The same is true spiritually, Holding the Truth around your loins or waist will help you stabilize your life on the Word of God and stay with it. We need to put that belt of truth on daily so that it does not loosen or slip out of position. The minute we start believing Satan's lies means it's time to tighten the belt of truth around our loins IMMEDIATELY. Go to the Word of God, and read, and meditate the Scriptures that your faith is founded on. I recommend reading doing this exercise three times a day until your manifestation comes.
Remember, you are a warrior in Christ, not a wimp. A warrior is disciplined, diligent, and focused on doing the practices that keeps him strong in the faith. The sweet victory that comes from staying firm in the Truth is described in Psalm 112: 6-8. As you read this Promise tighten your belt of Truth and stayed focused, losing is not an option.
Psalm 112:6-8 (AMP)
6 He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord.
8 His heart is established and steady, he will not be afraid while he waits to see his desire established upon his adversaries.
